The name Tonner is instantly recognized throughout the doll world. According to Pat Henry, founder and publisher of Fashion Doll Quarterly magazine and the book: Robert Tonner: Two Decades of Fashion and Design (2012), “Robert Tonner is one of the most influential doll designers of all time.”
After graduating from the famed Parsons School of Design, he began his career as a fashion designer eventually becoming head designer for the Blassport division of Bill Blass, but he is best known for the creation of the Tonner Doll Company, Wilde Imagination and Phyn & Aero, a collaboration with Andrew Yang.
Tonner’s original doll lines, Tyler Wentworth, Antoinette, Cami and Jon, Ellowyne Wilde, DejaVu and Kitty Collier, Betsy McCall, Ann Estelle among others, have won world-wide acclaim and the Tonner Doll Company has also been granted licenses to market doll designs for contemporary films such as Harry Potter, Spider-Man, Wizard of Oz, Pirates of the Caribbean, Avatar, Dr. Who and WonderWoman among others.
Mr. Tonner retired his company in 2018 and now only works as an independent artist on the special projects he chooses.

“Maggie Made” dolls are celebrated and easily recognized throughout the doll world for the unique and extraordinary works of art that they are. Each of Maggie's dolls is created from wool felt and can be repositioned in endless poses using her unique ball-jointed system. Hips, knees, and even the ankles are ball-jointed to allow the doll to take a particular stance or expressive mood to interact with the other dolls in your collection and more importantly, interact with you, the collector. The head is completely moveable, enabling the doll to cast her glance in several directions. Each finger is wired, which enables the doll to be manipulated in just the right way to suggest a feeling, or hold an accessory.

The CreativeSoul Doll Collection, based on the work of CreativeSoul Photography founders Regis and Kahran Bethencourt, in collaboration with the Walt Disney Company, reimagines what a classic Disney Princess would look like through a diverse lens. The dolls are styled with natural hairstyles and intricate Afrocentric fabrics and adornments while paying tribute to four Disney Princesses – Tiana, Snow White, Rapunzel, and Cinderella.
The dolls were featured at Walt Disney World Resort’s 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and are based on the creative photographic work of the Bethencourts. Limited edition.
Of this collection, the Disney Company writes: "One of the many things we love about our guests is their emotional connection to our stories. When they see themselves and their cultures depicted in our stories, a bond is formed that brings the magic of Disney to life. ...These breathtaking dolls pull inspiration from our beloved Disney Princess characters and the young girls featured in the concept art "

Denis Bastien, also known as Leeann’s Dad, is the sole employee at Affordable Designs - Canada. He started this one-man show in 2000 by selling his first 16 inch fashion doll limited edition outfit creations on eBay. Multiple limited editions were created when he decided to have larger editions manufactured in Asia. What was intended to be a hobby soon became his full-time job. In 2004, he was given the opportunity to give a new life to some of the Oren Village dolls sculpted by Maryanne Oldenburg. The line soon became known for its high-quality dolls, detailed outfits, shoes, and accessories, all at affordable prices. Denis Bastien’s goal was always to bring the joy of doll collecting to a budget-conscious demographic. Eighteen years later, the Leeann and friends doll line has ten different characters sharing clothes, shoes, and accessories that continue to delight its collectors around the world.
